The Sparling family lived here from from at least 1928. In 1941, Nancy Sparling lived there. She won 3rd prize in the Limerick AFC, supporters section raffle. Mary Sparling (née O’Grady) died here on 19 October 1956, her husband John died 3 years later. They were both living on Nicholas Street when they married in 1914.
In 7 September 1944, 23-year-old Gunner Joseph Hanley, a former resident of the house was killed in action in Japan.
By 1982, it was Treaty Antiques. and in 1986, bicycles were sold at 5 Nicholas Street.
